The dramatic video captured over the weekend of an attempted armed robbery in Detroit once again illustrates just how dangerous our society has become. The brazen attempt by a gray-clad hooded thug accosting a passerby and his companion didn’t, however, produce the outcome the young thug had hoped for when the intended victim suddenly became the aggressor, by first pushing the gun-hand of the would-be-robber away and then quickly pulling out his own legally concealed weapon and firing.

The incident took place Sunday night outside the Super X Market, a Green Light location at Charles and Sparling on the city's east side when the thug later identified as Sanchez Quinn pulled out a gun and pointed it at his intended victim however within moment the 29-year old thug was shot multiple times, quickly ending the robbery attempt.

Cynthia Quinn (the thug's mom) rushed to Henry Ford Hospital when she heard her son had been shot multiple times, however, was not allowed to see him, because he was in police custody which apparently set her off.

"When I went to my son's room I was stopped by two police officers (who) told me to get out of my son's room," she says. "'Why you here? You can't be here.'"

Quinn continued; "All I want to do is see my son to see if he's alright.”

FOX 2 reached out by phone to the intended victim who luckily had a concealed pistol license and was able to defend himself and his companion.

"I turned and looked and saw the other gentleman had a gun pointed at my face," the man said. "I was able to knock his hand down and the gunfire rang out."

The Police acknowledge that it was a good thing the intended robbery victim was armed or he and his cousin may not be alive today.

"It makes me mad because you have people out here that work every day. They are innocent; you want to take from them," the CPL holder said. "These guys, I definitely feel don't need to be back out on the street because someone else might get hurt and it might happen in a different way."

Do you think a federal law allowing law-abiding citizens the right to protect themselves by carrying legally permitted firearms, should be on the Trump agenda?
