Coming off one of his worst performances as host of the EMMY AWARDS which also suffered its worst ratings in its 68th year history, Stephen Colbert for some bizarre reason continues to mock President Trump at his own peril.

On Tuesday Colbert once again took a cheap shot at the president for claiming the booing in Dallas after the Dallas Cowboys knelt for the national anthem was the loudest he had ever heard.

Colbert began his stale monologue by pronouncing, “You know, with all that's happening, people are still talking about football. In fact, at a press conference today, Trump was asked if he’s been preoccupied with the NFL.”

Then Colbert plays a brief video clip of Trump at the White House saying: “Well, I wasn’t preoccupied with the NFL …. To me the NFL is a very important situation. I’ve heard that before, about, was I preoccupied. Not at all, not at all, I have plenty of time on my hands; all I do is work.”

Then with that overworked deadpan and predictable tone, Colbert exclaims mockingly, “Wait,” as the crowd laughs

He then continues; "Wait, which is it? Do you have a lot of time on your hands or are you always working, cause I can’t decide which one scares me more.” He continued, “Well, last night, in response to the controversy, the Dallas Cowboys kneeled before the national anthem, then stood up with arms linked during the song,” as the crowd cheered. “Now Trump was clearly watching, because he tweeted, "The booing at the NFL football game last night, when the entire Dallas team dropped to its knees, was loudest I have ever heard. Great anger."

"Really? That's the loudest booing you've ever heard?" Colbert asked. He shouted, "Listen to this: Donald Trump is president.”

"I think I have my new ring-tone," Colbert joked.

However, Colbert’s humor is no longer satirical, clever, or sharp, but rather mundane, boring and tedious, need proof, rerun a brief clip of the Emmys.

Do you think Colbert is reaching the Kathy Griffin stage of tasteless humor?
