It was bad news for Trump bashers when the President and First Lady visited victims of the mass shooting in Las Vegas just days after the event took place.

As the haters were still posting about how Trump fails to show what they call “appropriate” emotion when he serves as “Healer-in-Chief,” going to places like hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico, people who received visits from the president and First Lady Melania had a far different take on Trump the man and Trump the leader.

President and Mrs. Trump were in Las Vegas to meet with the doctors, nurses, first responders, law enforcement, and survivors of the worst mass shooting in U.S. history less than 72-hours after the gunfire on the Strip ended.

Thomas Gunderson survived a bullet wound in the leg on Sunday night when he was trapped in the audience enclosure located in a direct diagonal line of sight from the Mandalay Bay Hotel where the shooter, Stephen Paddock, opened fire on a Jason Aldean concert on Sunday night.

Despite the gunshot wound to the leg, Gunderson stood up to greet Mrs. Trump as she entered his hospital room and posted video of the moment he shook hands with President Trump.

Gunderson’s heartfelt and patriotic post went viral almost immediately.

“I will never lie down when the president of this great country comes to shake my hand!

“There may be plenty of issues in this country but I will always respect my country, my president, and my flag. Shot in the leg or not, I will stand to show my president the respect he deserves!”

Showing consideration for his condition, First Lady Melania Trump told Gunderson, “Don’t get up,” as she asked, “Are you OK?”

The president was close behind and commented, “Hey, this guy looks tough to me!”

Another hospital patient told the media something else they didn’t want to hear.

“He wasn’t who we see on social media.” said a young victim still lying in her hospital bed with her mother by her side.

“He was comforting… he was nice.”

That’s got to be bad news for the Trump haters who enjoyed painting the president as a cold, cruel man during their late-night “comedy” shows where they spend more time reducing the man to a caricature than simply making people laugh at the end of a difficult day.

Do you believe the mainstream media paints a picture of President Trump that is unfair in order to demonize his political positions and those of people who support him?
