After a string of embarrassing security failures as intruders breached the perimeter of the White House grounds in the past few years, the Secret Service demonstrated a new commitment to protecting the president and his home when they foiled a man’s plan to “kill all WHITE police” at the White House.

President and Mrs. Trump, in the middle of an 11-day official visit to Asia, were never in any danger, although it is not known where their son, Barron, is staying while his parents are away.

The Protective Intelligence Division of the Secret Service was alerted by the Montgomery County Maryland Police Department with a ‘Be on the Lookout’ (BOLO) for Michael Arega, who had posted the racist threats on his Facebook page.

His wife had informed the Montgomery Police that her husband had stopped taking prescribed medications and was going to Washington, D.C.

The Secret Service issued a statement announcing that they had initiated a search around the perimeter of the White House after receiving the ‘BOLO.’

Arega was arrested a short time later near Lafayette Park on Pennsylvania Avenue. He was unarmed and did not resist arrest, according to the statement from the Secret Service.

He is being held without bail at the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington and has been charged with making felonious threats.

Like many disturbed individuals, Arega shared his thoughts and obsessions on his Facebook, with him changing his profile to show him “checked in” at the White House, and posting his intention, writing, “Now i am going to there to white House make sure kill All white POLICE!!,”

Specific threats to the president were also made on his Facebook page, which was full of misspelled words and indications that he believed he was on a sacred mission to oust the president and kill white police officers.

“Put Him on Jail Donald J Trump in Maighty Name of JESUS CHRRIST !!”

“I remove the power of darkenes [sic] from USA in the powerful name of Jesus Christ !!”

Arega will undoubtedly be evaluated at a psychiatric facility to determine if he is competent to go forward with legal proceedings or requires hospitalization and treatment.

Do you think the government should erect a taller fence around the White House to prevent intruders from gaining entry to harm the president, his family or the Secret Service agents who work there?
