President Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manafort has been indicted on 12 separate charges. Among the more serious includes conspiracy to launder money and conspiracy against the United States. According to the indictment, Manafort laundered $18 million through multiple offshore accounts totaling $75 million.

Of course, many want to know whether this will implicate Trump in any way. After all, you know members of the left and their MSM friends are going to jump on this and claim this as the smoking gun for collusion between Trump and the Russians. Nothing in the indictment, though, indicates any form of collusion. All of Manafort's illegal activities took place outside of his role as campaign manager during the 2016 election.

All the shady stuff Manafort was engaged in allegedly took place between 2006 and 2014. Most of Manafort's money was believed to have come from the Ukranian Party of Regions, which disbanded in 2014. It's believed that Manafort acted as an unregistered agent for the government of Ukraine. The unofficial role netted him millions of dollars, much of which he laundered through various corporations in and out of the United States.

Manafort used a lot of the accumulated wealth to enjoy a lavish lifestyle in the U.S. - all while not paying taxes on any of the income.

It's also believed that between 2008 and 2017, Manafort made plans to acquire finances under a fraudulent pretense.

Remember, though, that none of the indictments suggest collusion. This is all about Manafort and not about Trump.

It's interesting to see how the media spins this story. Surely, they will try to use it to distract from the recent and damning revelations of the DNC funding the Trump dossier. The leftist media will grab at straws to paint the Trump Administration in the most negative light.

What do you think? Do you believe Trump had any knowledge of Manafort's nefarious activities?
