Some have compared Melania Trump with another First Lady from the past who conducted herself with quiet dignity and was the epitome of – there’s no other word for it – class.

The Slovenian model who became a U.S. citizen married a man she knew was “bigger than life,” but she never expected that he would turn away from a successful career as a builder and not only take up politics, but shoot for the top.

Mrs. Trump was not a presence on the grueling campaign trail that lasted 18 months, preferring to stay home and play her favorite role, the one she considers her most important – mother.

But when her presence was needed, Melania was a hit at rallies and made a gracious and heartfelt speech at the Republican convention in Cleveland.

English is just one of many languages she speaks, but her devotion to her husband was clear.

Her husband is now the President of the United States, embattled from all sides in just the first six months of his administration, especially from the liberal media that is committed to seeing him impeached – at a minimum.

So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that First Lady Melania Trump was the first to draw the line when a co-host of a morning talk show dared to speculate that the Trump marriage was in trouble.

When MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program, Mika Brzezinski, went beyond suggesting that Melania wanted out of her marriage to the president, claiming to know the first lady.

“I know Melania. I haven’t talked to her in months, but if my gut is right, I don’t think she’s going to put up with it much longer… That’s just my instinct and I go with my gut and my gut’s always right.”

“Melania’s got the worst job in the country and I don’t think she wants do it a lot longer. I think she will do it for as long as she has to for her son, and that’s it,” Brzezinski said.

The First Lady wasted no time in issuing a devastating rebuke.

Melania released a simple statement through the DailyMail.com that put egg on Brzezinski’s face.

“It is sad when people try to further their own agenda by commenting on me and my family, especially when they don't know me,” she said.

She could have taken a lowball approach and pointed out that if anyone knows about “troubled marriages,” it would be Brzezinski, who recently divorced her husband at the same time she announced her engagement to longtime co-host Joe Scarborough.

But First Lady Melania Trump, like Jacqueline Kennedy, speaks softly, and people listen.
