There’s a renewal taking place in America, it began over two years ago, with a brash billionaire New Yorker riding down a glided escalator along with his beautiful wife, proclaiming all sorts of wonders if he became president, one of which was to once again pay tribute and honor our forgotten vets, who’ve sacrificed so much.

Moreover that promise continued well through the grueling primaries, and through the presidential debates, right up until Donald J. Trump captured the White House on that historic night, and did something that few politicians ever do after winning an election, Trump kept his word, making America’s warriors both past and present a primary concern of his administration.

By using the bully pulpit (and tweets), to chronicle and highlight the plight of many vets, Trump forced the nation to acknowledge our war hero’s and in so doing many industries are beginning to step up and help our forgotten warriors.

One of whom is the giant hardware chain Lowe, which has just announced that it is improving their special discount programs for military families, with the promise of making it even better, by expanding the program to include more members of the military as well as their family members.

Moreover, all military members and their families will be able to use it online and will receive free shipping as well.

This discount is more generous than most and goes beyond just brick and mortar stores. All military members and their families will be able to use it online and will receive free shipping as well.

Lowe’s spokeswoman Megan Lewis explained; “The discount is linked to a “MyLowes account,” which can be shared by a household. Once the service member signs up for the discount program, it will be linked to a MyLowes card that can also be used by their spouse.”

I think we can all agree that those who put their lives aside to defend our freedom deserve everything they can possibly get.

Do you believe other retail giants should also offer special discounts for vets and military families?
