According to Colin Kaepernick’s attorney Mark Geragos, the countdown has apparently begun in getting his client signed to an NFL team this year, in fact, the prediction by Geragos is that Kaepernick will be signed to a big league contract within the next 10-days

Geragos made his prognostication during an appearance on the Adam Carolla Show stating; “I think within the next 10 days somebody will sign him, I think somebody’s gonna sign him. I think the NFL has to come to their senses and realize every day that goes by just proves the collusion case even more.”

Really?

Perhaps the wider issue that apparently both Geragos and Kaepernick seem to ignore is why any owner would hire a marginal talent who has already demonstrated he’s controversial to the point of being a big league distraction for any team, and more importantly an economic liability.

Moreover, the nonsense that team owner actually colluded against Kaepernick’s employment is silly, in that the guy is simply responsible for his own misguided misfortunes. In that the game of football is first and foremost a business, professional football players, get paid to play the game, and not grandstand on the sidelines, moreover when the sideline antics override their performance on the gridiron effecting both the box office and advertising revenues, then you have what the league has been experiencing a massive boycott by the fans.

However, we live in a world of political correctness and it appears that the Baltimore Ravens might just be dumb enough to hire Colin Kaepernick as their next backup quarterback.

Owner Bisciotti, however, may have second thoughts noting that he’s weighing the team’s “brand” against the idea of giving Kaepernick a shot to come to Baltimore.

The issue, of course, is the fans, who have already voiced their displeasure on social media regarding the idea of hiring Kaepernick.

Moreover, whatever decision Bisciotti makes, you can almost guarantee if he does hire Kaepernick there will be protests and boycotts in Baltimore.

Do you believe that NFL owners have colluded in keeping Kaepernick off the gridiron?
