President Trump had promised once he became president that his first priority would be to protect America against our enemies both foreign and domestic. Moreover like most Americans, we assumed that the president’s focus would be solely on eliminating radical Islamic extremists.

However, the president had warned us during his campaign speeches that the threat to our national security was a lot more involved and complex than simply eliminating terrorist groups like ISIS. Little did we realize the scope of domestic terrorism living right here at home for decades because previous administrations simply ignored the issue by lumping radium acts of street violence, along with organized gangs that had infiltrated our country from abroad namely the infamous MS-13 gang preying primarily on innocent immigrants from South America, using murder, extortion, blackmail, rape and other severe forms of intimidation to keep them in line.

Thankfully with the election of Donald J. Trump those days are quickly coming to an abrupt end. The Department of Homeland security, along with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of Justice, led by federal, state and local enforcement, under the code name “Operation Raging Bull” has just announced on Thursday a major crackdown on “MS-13” one the most notorious gangs in America today.

The combined joint operation was a two-phased 18-month investigation that ultimately produced a total of 214 arrests.

ICE Deputy Director Thomas Homan reiterated the success of “Operation Raging Bull” stating: “This successful operation continues our efforts to attack MS-13 – both domestically and abroad – disrupting their financial networks,” said Homan. “MS-13 terrorizes communities through violent crime and extortion in furtherance of its mission to rape, control and kill."

Adding; “This is a great operation, but we are not done and we will not be done until we totally dismantle this organization.”

“Operation Raging Bull” began in September under the direct supervision of ICE which led to 53 arrests in El Salvador. The second phase took place across the United States from October 8 through November 11.

Homan went on to explain in detail: “Of the 214 arrests made in the U.S., 93 were arrested on federal and/or state criminal charges,” said ICE Homeland Security Investigations Deputy Executive Associate Director Derek Benner. “The remaining 121 were arrested on administrative immigration violations. Sixteen of those arrested were U.S. citizens and 198 were foreign nationals, of which only five had legal status to be in the United States.”

Do you blame President Obama for allowing both ISIS and MS-13 for spreading their brand of mayhem around the world and here in America?
