Destiny Carreno had the good fortune to witness an event that made her eyes well up and her heart fill with joy.

While at a McDonald’s waiting in line to order, she witnessed an elderly man say, “Help me please,” to the cashier. To her amazement, the cashier shut down his station and walked away from his register to aid the man.

The man was disabled and was having trouble handling his food. He had asked the cashier for help because he need assistance with cutting the food and eating.

She witnessed the cashier head into the kitchen area, then emerge and join the disabled elderly man. He assisted the man by cutting his food, and sitting down with him to help him eat.

In a day and age where it seems nobody can be bothered to do anything to help another, let alone acknowledge a “hello” or a greeting of “good morning”, this cashier demonstrated that there is still goodness in this world.

As Destiny writes,

“This employee, who put everything on hold for this man, went above and beyond his responsibilities to help this handicapped customer out.”

“That was the kindest and most humble thing I had ever seen.”

McDonald’s you have a wonderful employee on your hands who should be commended.

He is an example for the rest of us with respect to the kindness we should be showing to everyone in our everyday lives.
