What These Grateful Citizens Were Able To Do For Veteran Hero From Oregon Shooting Will Amaze You.
That is how much America has stepped up and raised for homegrown hero, and military Veteran, Chris Mintz.
Mintz, was the veteran soldier and student at Umpqua Community College in Oregon who put himself between murderer Chris Harper-Mercer and Mintz’s classroom.
Mintz was shot multiple times, and sustained injuries that have resulted in the temporary loss of the use of his legs. He will need to relearn how to walk post-surgery. It is without a doubt he will incur exorbitant medical bills and loss of income during his recovery.
The GoFundMe page set up by Mintz’s family set a goal of $10,000.00 to help offset all of these financial costs. The generosity of America is amazing, because that amount has been exceed by $755,000.00!
America’s next goal is to award Mintz with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Such an award can only bestowed by the president of the United States, who, sadly has been remarkably absent in terms of comforting those injured and fallen, as well as the community as a whole.
You can find the petition at Change.org and your name to the growing list of 8,000 signers.
