For those old enough to remember the Reagan Presidency, it was perhaps the classicist and most elegant administration since JFK’s and of course Nancy Reagan like Jackie Kennedy brought style and grace back into the White House.

It has been well researched and documented that Nancy Reagan not only brought style and class back into the White House, but also a new dress code, the casual “down home” country style dress favored by the Carters, soon gave way to smart dress suits for the woman and suit’s and tie for the men, in fact President Reagan never took his suit jacket off when in the Oval Office, he later explained it was in deference to the office, a far cry from what we have today.

Ironically it was Nancy Reagan who first realized the potential greatness within her husband and what we now reference as the Reagan legacy of today, and perhaps one of the greatest presidents within modern America.

Nancy of course was the power broker behind the man, and she protected her ‘Ronny” from both those who admired him and feared him, they were a perfect match, and their union was an endearing love story that lasted until she took her final breath at 94-years of age.

Of course Vice President Bush’s name is synonymous with that of President Reagan’s and President “G.W.” Bush released this heartfelt letter the moment he learned of the passing of the former first lady.

Do you think G.W. Bush handled this with sincerity and class?
