Yesterday’s near tragic and sobering incident had everyone on capitol hill pausing and taking stoke of the almost certain bloodbath miraculously avoided by the quick actions of two capitol hill police officers on the scene, who immediately put their lives on the line engaging the would-be assassin in a firefight, ending the potential carnage before it ever began.

“Luck” is perhaps the only way to describe yesterday’s incident, in that a security detail normally not provided for average legislators was on hand, and that the deranged shooter was “thankfully” a lousy shot.

Yesterday, all things considered, democracy “won out.” However the lack of civility within the last year shown to our president, his cabinet and his supporters will no doubt continue and this brief moratorium for a more congenial political environment seems to be already unraveling, with progressive politicians taking to the podium calling for “gun control” and perhaps ignoring once again the direct contributing factor of mental health.

No doubt would be assassin James Hodgkinson was mentally disturbed and was a prime candidate to be radicalized by a continuous stream of “hate speech” similar to that of an Islamic extremist, who hears from prominent Imams denouncing the infidels.

Listen to how progressive politicians like Time Kaine view the current political climate; “So, the way we get outside the bubble is we take advantage of this tremendous public outcry against the administration. What we’ve got to do is fight in Congress, fight in the courts, fight in the streets, fight online, fight at the ballot box, and now there’s the momentum to be able to do this. And we’re not afraid of the popular outcry, we’re energized by it and that’s going to help us do our job and do it better.”

And listen to former AG Loretta Lynch’s call to arms; “It has been people, individuals who have banded together, ordinary people who simply saw what needed to be done and came together and supported those ideals who have made the difference. They’ve marched, they’ve bled and yes, some of them died. This is hard. Every good thing is. We have done this before. We can do this again.”

Never Been Easy

If you need to hear some words of inspiration tonight, take a moment for our friend, former Attorney General, Loretta E. Lynch:

However perhaps the most profane exhibition came from DNC’s California Chairman John Burton, a longtime Democratic lawmaker and power-broker who extended two middle fingers in the air as the crowd cheered and joined him in a chorus “F— Donald Trump.”
