CNN would like us to think President Trump lacks "empathy" because he should have "talked more" about the Texas storm victims.

Trump did more than pay lip service to the victims of Hurricane Harvey. He paid a personal visit to the stricken areas and even reached into his own pocket to pledge $1 million to help relief efforts.

A CNN reporter then tried to mess with Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) besmirching innuendo about the president's visit.

“Well it was very important for the President to show up, to show how much he cared about the state of Texas, about our citizens, and about his commitment to helping Texas get through this emergency process and then rebuild,” Abbott said.

“In addition to the President, we had cabinet members such as the Secretary of Homeland Security, Secretary Tom Price of Health and Human Services. We had the FEMA administrator here,” he added. “As far as the President himself is concerned, I got to visit with him at length and see both his compassion and his commitment to helping Texas get through this process."

“Do you think that the President should have talked more about the victims?” the reporter asked.

“I know that he talked to me at length about the victims and about the devastation that he saw, and about his deep concern about what people were going through,” Abbott responded. “He expressed his sorrow and deep concern about how these people’s lives have been completely inundated and his compassion and commitment to help them respond.”

Trump has said he is "committed" to rebuilding the Gulf Coast after the worst storm in Texas ravaged the southeastern part of the state, including Lousiana.

Apprently that's not good enough for CNN as the network always has the knives out with this president.

Do you think CNN is unfairly looking to portray President Trump as not caring about the Texas storm victims?
