”SELECTIVE OUTRAGE” has always been a vital tool within the political progressive handbook. It’s usually used as a buffer to distract from the actual issue at hand.

Take for example the dust-up with Donald Trump and Khizr Khan, the father of Muslim/American Army Captain Humayun Khan, who was killed by a car bomb in 2004 while guarding a base in Iraq.

Another example is the selective outrage shown by the progressive establishment toward Pat Smith, the mother of Sean Smith, who died in Benghazi along with U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and two other Americans on that faithful night in September 2012. Mrs. Smith disputes to this day  Hillary Clinton’s account as to what actually happened in those 13 hours.

The lack of interest shown by journalists in uncovering the truth, while virtually ignoring her claim, and in some instances actually ridiculing her, is at sharp contrast with the respect shown to the Khan family.

And although the mainstream media went on a full-frenzied frontal attack on Trump’s comments about a “Gold Star” family, in actuality, much depends on the family and the political benefits derived in exploiting or ignoring those families.

“Gold Star” mother Karen Vaughn is a prime example of political exploitation. When she requested that President Obama honor her wish for privacy when her son’s flag draped coffin arrived at Dover Air Force Base from Iraq in 2011.

“The families unanimously asked Barack Obama to not bring any media, to not make this a media event, that he was welcome to be with us, but no media,” she explained. “And he showed up with cameras, and the next day, our pictures, or his picture saluting the caskets of our boys, were plastered over every outlet in America.”

Do you think Obama has shown no respect to this fallen soldier's family let alone all of the military in his term as president?
