Watch Famous Neurosurgeon Ben Carson Expose The Hard Science That Makes Race Baiters Like Obama Look Ludicrous
Dr. Ben Carson, retired neurosurgeon, is a man of healing. His solution for ending the racial war we seem to be waging on each other, and healing of the nation, is to take race out of the equation altogether. You see, when asked by Megan Kelly (Fox News), at the August 6th GOP presidential debate, how he would address this highly political situation, he stated that the bully pulpit is a good place to start. Meaning, in no uncertain terms, that you lead from the top and by example as the leader of the nation. To do this, you have to stop seeing color as the defining element of a person.
Dr. Carson reflected on his days in the operating room and had this to say;
“…you see, when I take someone into the operating room, I’m actually operating on the thing that makes them who they are. The skin doesn’t make them who they are.”
He also says that we need to stop thinking about race and move on. He spoke of the hate mongers and race baiters (though he uses more eloquent language), and how they are “purveyors of hatred.” He’s right. These folks make a race issue out of anything, pit people against one another, and destroy what unity we have as Americans.
While he is a brain surgeon, it should not have to take a brain surgeon to tell us something that is plain common sense. We need to stop engaging the race baiters, hate mongers, and talking heads that continually shove this nonsense down our throats. This nonsense results in violence, and it makes us pitifully weak and pathetic, and a nation of, as he referenced elsewhere that night, “useful idiots”.
Dr. Carson believes in America as a United States and not, as he says, a divided states. Again common sense, from a brain surgeon. He can take something so fraught with politics, emotion, social dysfunction, and seeming complexity, and boil it down to what it is-good old-fashioned common sense.
We need some of that right now, and if it takes a brain surgeon to provide it, so be it.
