Perhaps it was just a brief lucid moment that allowed Quanell X, to finally see clearly what has apparently clouded the judgment of African-American’s for decades. Whatever it was, this leader of the New Black Panthers Party seems to be in agreement with Trump’s assertions that the Democratic Party and in particular progressive policies have destroyed the inner cities.

And while this moment of truth may be short-lived, for now Quanell X, leader of the NBP Party in Houston says that Trump’s outreach to the black community should actually be a time for them to "reexamine the relationship" with the Democratic Party.

Moreover stating to his followers: "Let me say this to the brothers and sisters who listened and watched that speech. We may not like the vessel that said what he said, but I ask us to truly examine what he said, because it is a fact that for 54 years, we have been voting for the Democratic party like no other race in America.”

He continued referencing Trump directly saying: “He spoke directly to black people. And I want to say and encourage the brothers and sisters.”

Then Quanell X suddenly pivoted towards Obama stating: “Barack Obama, our president, served two terms, the first black president ever. But did our condition get better? Did financially, politically, academically, with education in our community, did things get better? Are our young people working more than what is was before he came into office? The condition got worse. So now we as black people have to do and remember what the honorable Elijah Mohammed said. No politician can save the black community; we’ve gotta do it ourselves.”

Perhaps that stark realization may finally wake up the African-American community, and perhaps the two most unlikely people to join forces, Quanell X and Donald Trump may actually have the solution.
