Just as all of us right-wing-nuts predicted, and were mocked for, the American flag has become the next target of the left, and in the heartland of America, no less. Not in Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, or even New York City. It is happening, at this very moment, in Dickson County, Tennessee.

If you are a student within the district, you are no longer allowed to display the Stars and Stripes on your vehicle. If you do display your symbol of freedom, you will have the freedom denied, and you will be removed from campus.

Steve Sorrells, the Director of Student Services, told the local Fox News, that “While this was not necessarily an attack on the American flag, there were some other issues we’re trying to address”, and, “It’s not an unpatriotic act, by any means, because we have a number of ways in which students do learn how to be patriotic and express American pride.”

What does “not necessarily an attack on the American flag” even mean? Does it mean it is kinda sorta that, because that is kinda sorta EXACTLY what it looks like? How about the “number of ways” students “learn” how to be patriotic?

Would that be submission to oppressive tyranny because that is what this looks like? What other ways to the kids get to express their “American pride?” With a rainbow flag by any chance?

Students and their families are not happy and see this for what it is, an attack on their freedom. The district has yet to explain what prompted this, what the “other issues” are that need addressed, and why the American flag was targeted.

Speak up school district! We can’t wait to hear what you have to say.
