Governor of Indiana Mike Pence was on the campaign trail in Nevada when he was approached by a military mother who prodded him with a question about how he was able to "tolerate" the "disrespectful" remarks presidential candidate Donald Trump made about the parents of U.S. Army Captain Human Khan who was killed by a suicide bomber in Iraq a dozen years ago.

After the woman asked her question, the audience starting booing before Pence silenced the crowd by saying "That’s what freedom looks like and that’s what freedom sounds like."

He then responded to the woman's question after first praising Khan for his service and sacrifice.

Pence addressed the crowd and the woman by saying he has never spent time with someone "more devoted to the armed forces of this country, more devoted to the families of our soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and Coast Guard, and no one more devoted to the veterans in this country" than Trump.

He continued with, "Donald Trump supports our soldiers and supports our veterans like no other leader in my lifetime."

Pence laid out Trump's plans to repair and rebuild the military after eight years of the Obama administration have "hollowed out" the military. The vice-president nominee reassured the crowd that they planned to treat the military with the respect that they deserved – and was not given by Obama.

Although Trump has received a lot of heat after his comments about Mr. Khan's speech before the Democratic National Convention, the Republican candidate has always expressed his support for our nation's troops.

Khizr Khan has recently been exposed as an immigration lawyer who has written in law journals that for Muslims, all law, including the U.S. Constitution must be subjugated to Islamic law as stated in the Quran, which leads us to believe that he may have had ulterior motives for his charged speech. To make things more interesting Khan has been shown to have connections to lobbyists who bundled donations for the Hillary Clinton campaign.

Trump has always shown his support and loyalty for our troops and demonstrated much more concern for the veterans of our country than the Obama administration that has allowed veterans to die while waiting for care from his VA.
