In this video clip, an unnamed Muslim cleric attacks people of any religion who say "Merry Christmas" during the holidays. He even took it one step further and said that saying "Merry Christmas" is worse than murder. Wow, really worse than murder?

"You saying Merry Christmas, and your false understanding of religion and your false understanding of life, you are congratulating them on the most evil of [things]." False religion? Take a good long look in the mirror before you make such moronic claims. But there's more...

In the clip, the Muslim leader points to Christians celebrating the birth of Christ on December 25 as an example of this "false understanding."

While there is some discussion as to whether or not Christ was born on the 25th of December, this religious leader only further proves the absolute literalness of Islam, and the way in which Muslims are unwilling to give place for other forms of belief or religious understanding.

In another section of the clip, the man compares saying "Merry Christmas" to other, heinous sins, and says that the holiday phrase is far worse. "[It] is worse than fornication and drinking alcohol and killing someone, because you are approving of the biggest crime ever committed by the children of Adam’s sin."

Someone should maybe inform this man that Christmas is also one of the most popular times for charitable donations and giving, and that large amounts of the food and money donated during the holidays likely ends up helping his Muslim brothers and sisters in the Middle East.

If someone can't understand that saying "Merry Christmas" is an expression of joy, happiness, and goodwill, as well as a religious expression, perhaps they need to experience what the world would be like without that happiness. So keep on saying "Merry Christmas" everyone!
