A lawsuit has been filed against the city of Sterling Heights in Michigan by members of the American Islamic Community Center claiming discrimination and racism over the city's planning committee's decision to reject the proposal to build a mega-mosque in the town.

It wasn't even a day later that U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade told Detroit Free Press that she would be working with President Barack Obama's Department of Justice in order to investigate the claims of 'racism' and discrimination in Sterling Heights.

In a news report by ABC's 7 Action News countless people are seen outside of the city hall cheering in support of the city council's decision after a vote had taken place in September to prevent the construction of the mega-mosque over traffic concerns.

Take a look at the news report in the video below.

Of course Obama doesn't care about the actual legitimate concerns of the local community as long as he gets to spin the situation and use it to advance his own political agenda.

"With a vociferous and racist member of the Planning Commission leading the charge, the Planning Commission voted to reject the site plan," read the center's lawsuit. "With no other choice, the American Islamic Community Center has filed this suit seeking equitable relief to build the Mosque and seeks damages as the City of Sterling Heights’ conduct violates."

Obama and the American Muslim Center should do a little research before they start making flagrant accusations. Islam is not a race, it's a religion. More importantly that video shows that there was no anti-Muslim or racist behavior displayed by the the people outside the courthouse.

Instead of respecting the 9-0 unanimous vote that was made by the community the center immediately cried out claiming 'racism.' That's just the world that we live in now. A world where any entitled brat who doesn't get what they want just has to cry 'racism' and race-baiter Obama will come running to the rescue.

In fact the number of cases that the DOJ has investigated pertaining to anti-Islamic mosque and school related allegations has risen from 15 percent in 2000 to 38 percent in 2010, and that's six years ago in 2010.
