It's not often that an answer on Jeopardy goes viral on the internet. The quiz-style game show typically attracts an older, well-educated audience that is more interested in guessing the correct answer before the contestants on the show than in recording quotable quips from the show.

During one of the show's rounds last week, however, a Jeopardy contestant gave a hilarious answer that poked fun at liberals. Here's how it went.

The quip took place during the final stage of the quiz show, a portion of the show called "Final Jeopardy." Contestants are given a category for the final question, choose an amount to wager against that category, and are then shown the clue. They then have 30 seconds to write down their answer before showing it to the show's host, Alex Trebek.

In this funny clip, the clue showed a picture of a pinkish flower and asked, "The flower pictured here is called this, also a disparaging term for people on the political left."

The second place contestant, with not much of a chance to catch up to the leader, gave a hilarious answer that even made Trebek chuckle.

"You may have found a way to answer that insults liberals in this country," Trebek said before revealing the contestant's answer.

"What is a pansy," she wrote, to much applause and laughter in the audience.

Trebek, unfortunately, had to mark the answer as wrong--he was looking for the flower, "bleeding heart"--but he did say, "although I do like pansy."

It was a hilarious moment to see the contestant, a young woman, laughing at her own intelligence and ability to make fun of liberals--a notoriously stodgy group.

Though Trebek undoubtedly took some flak from his producers for laughing and making a point to concentrate some time on the woman's answer, it's good to see a media personality able to stand up to the left and throw some verbal punches.
