How does one truly define an act of bravery?

To some it may be an individual wearing a uniform, and committing a heroic act and perhaps saving lives, to others it may be a civilian simply going about their day and finding themselves within that brief moment and once again committing an act of bravery.

However there’s another act of bravery, perhaps not as dramatic as rushing into a burning inferno, however just as dangerous, it’s the brave act of standing on ones principles, regardless of the consequences, and speaking out.

And when an African-American speaks out against the senseless execution style shootings of police officers, and calls out an African-American president and a destructive black movement, that’s an act of courage, and saying those he holds responsible;  “I challenge every leader, starting with the president down to myself, to denounce the black lives matter movement.”
