People of the Great Smoky Mountains area of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg got rocked with a freak mountain hail storm last week, with pellets raining from the sky on to cars, homes and businesses. The ice barrage consisted of some pea sized chunks all the way up to the golf ball sized rocks, ready and able to wreak havoc on all manner of property.

As you can see in the video, the ice cascading off the homeowners roof piles up to almost a foot, allowing him to prop up an umbrella. File this one under global warming.
