Once again we witness another brave wounded warrior struggling with their injuries, and the sheer incompetence of this administration along with the VA to fix these issues, and whether it’s a vet being ignored on a waiting list, or a vet unable to pay medical expenses suffered as a direct result of combat, something needs to be done and done quickly.

This time the mother of an injured Army veteran of the Iraq war is selling a rare letter from President Obama to cover her son's medical and personal expenses despite the president's handwritten promise to do "everything we can over the next four years to support your family."

At issue are injuries suffered by Army veteran David McKimmey for which he received the Bronze Star with Valor for crawling back into a truck fire to save two soldiers who eventually died.

He suffered burns to his face and hands and is still likely to lose his leg.

Alexander Historical Auctions President Bill Panagopulos is offering the letter for sale, and expects the letter to bring $3,000-4,000, and will also not charge the family  any commission on the sale.

Mrs. McKimmey said while the letter was a nice touch from Obama, nothing was done to help her son, who is the single father of three young children, one just six months old, and living on disability benefits.
