A few weeks ago, we brought you the story of a historic find in Massachusetts. Sealed in a copper clad box way back in 1795 by American icons Paul Revere and Samuel Adams, the time capsule was locked in a special hiding place within the Massachusetts state house. It was rediscovered only a few weeks back, after almost being forgotten. A team of historians and scientists debated on the best was to open and display the fragile treasure and it was finally opened this Tuesday. The cache contained rare and historically important coinage signifying a major turn in the American revolution. Other items of note were news papers of the day, a medal depicting George Washington and a small silver plaque that had been etched with the names and dates of the people involved in placing the capsule. An amazing piece of history to behold.
