Alabama State Representative, Steve Hurst, has a near zero-tolerance approach when it comes to punishing child molesters.

He wants the ne’er-do-well evil freak shows castrated. He also wants the criminal to pay for it.

Love it.

Naturally, there are those out there who are screaming “oh the inhumanity!” because those people suck.

“I asked them what’s more inhumane than when you take a little infant child, and you sexually molest that infant child when the child cannot defend themselves or get away, and they have to go through all the things they have to go through. If you want to talk about inhumane — that’s inhumane,” said Hurst.

Damn straight. Some child molester, aka child rapist, can’t pay enough. Losing their family jewels pales in comparison to what their victim lost.

Plus, the creeps just go from one welfare system to another post-conviction; three hots-and-a-cot behind bars, to a welfare check once out of prison because nobody wants to hire them.  So, making them pay for their crime financially just alleviates one more cost for the rest of us.

As for the notion that castration will do no good, because there is such a high recidivism rate among these criminals, let us ask “WHO CARES?”

So, is the bleeding heart’s answer to continue to do nothing, and let them keep repeating their crimes, because you can’t stop it anyway.  If so, that is pretty lame.

Castration is a great place to start. Perhaps, once the rest of the nation grows a (ahem) set, we can move on to really stopping pedophiles from repeat crimes.

It’s called execution.
