If you’re a Trump supporter than you’ve probably been riding a roller-coaster ride of emotions, and wishing that “The Donald” would get back to the issues and not get himself trapped in answering “set-up” questions designed to derail his candidacy.

And perhaps he’s finally doing just that, in an interview with the Washington Post on April 2, Trump said he will negotiate a better deal for the United States and get the country out of its $19 trillion debt, half of which is owed to China and Japan.

Trump said he will eliminate the national debt if he's elected president, saying; "I'm renegotiating all of our deals, the big trade deals that we're doing so badly on, with China, $505 billion this year in trade."

However the mainstream media long with the Washington establishment are trying everything possible to discredit the billionaire real estate mogul’s assertions that he can eliminate the national debt by the end of his second term.

The Washington Post, in a separate story, called Trump's promise a "fantastical notion."

While another media outlet attempted a more indirect approach in their attempt to discredit Trump suggesting that even if Trump eliminated the trade deficit through renegotiation's, he would still be unable to pay off the entire national debt due to how much the U.S. spends on a yearly basis, stating; "We regret we have only Four Pinocchio’s to give for this whopper."

However it should be pointed out that these are the same media outlets and Washington elites, that ridiculed Trump’s candidacy less than a year ago, however we don’t to see to many ridiculing the undisputed frontrunner now…do we?
