Watching this roughly 2-minute video, one can’t help but feel sorry for this helpless government DHS bureaucrat trying to explain the visa process to constitutional scholar and South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy, who once again dismantles this young woman with the precision of a skilled surgeon, and giving her a much needed civics lesson on the Constitution and their Amendments.

Gowdy referenced the Second Amendment without arguing the merits or concept of the Second Amendment, by simply giving examples of its use, which left this young lady speechless.

He didn’t pontificate as if speaking on a soapbox; he wasn’t boisterous or intimidating in the manner of his speech, only in its content, as if speaking to someone void of knowledge.

He asked her what other Amendments a citizen would have to petition the government for them to get back. It brilliantly illuminated how government abuses people’s Second Amendment rights and the slippery slope which could lead to the restriction of the other rights.

Speaking casually he continued with these line of questions, asking; “What process is afforded a United States citizen before that person’s Constitutional right is infringed. That [The President] is fine with doing it with the Second Amendment.”

He continued; “My question is, how about the First? How about we not let them set up a website, or a Google account? How about we not let them join a church until they petition Government to get off the list? How about not get a lawyer? How about the 6th amendment? How about you can’t get a lawyer until you petition the government to get off the list? Or my favorite, how about the 8th amendment?

Finally Gowdy asked; “Is there another Constitutional right that we treat the same way for American citizens than we do the Second Amendment? Can you think of one?”

Finally after a long pause her response; “I don’t have an answer for you, sir.”
