An alphabet soup’s worth of Muslim organizations with clear links to the Muslim Brotherhood have now overtly entered American politics with the purpose of promoting candidates, and in the future perhaps fielding candidates, that will promote those organizations’ views.

The Muslim Brotherhood has been labeled by the U.S. government as a terrorist organization, and its involvement in funding political activity within the United States would ordinarily draw the attention of the Department of Justice. But this has not happened in President Obama’s America.

The United Muslim American Association (UMMA) was recently established by a Muslim umbrella organization, the U.S. Council of Muslim Organization (USCMO) for the purpose of forming a political party that will promote candidates whose policies line up with UMMA’s policy preferences.

A look at who formed UMMA will tell us all we need to know about its political intentions. One co-founder of the party is Sabri Samirah, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. The Investor’s Business Daily recently reported on the Muslim Brotherhood’s interest in building a political party in the U.S., and further reported that USCMO’s aim was to “elect Islamists in Washington, with the ultimate objective of ‘institutionalizing policies’ favorable to Islamists – that is, Sharia law.”

Another Muslim organization under USCMO’s umbrella is the Muslim American Society (MAS), which our Department of Justice in 2007 concluded was “the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States.” That’s who UMMA, co-founded by Muslim Brotherhood member Samirah, is sharing the USCMO umbrella with. That same Department of Justice, but now headed by Obama’s chosen head, Eric Holder, is making no moves against these organizations’ intrusions into our political process.

Those not persuaded by the DOJ’s 2007 pronouncement on MAS can get a good feel for the group from its own words. MAS recently published a press release praising Osama Bin Laden as a “visionary who believed in an Islamic state in Afghanistan.”

Egypt, after enduring a single year under the rule of the Muslim Brotherhood (which occurred after Obama turned on Mubarak and destabilized that country), repudiated the Brotherhood and outlawed it. It has also been outlawed in the U.A.E. The people of those societies who aspire to a better life can see more clearly than our own President the scorpion-like nature of the Muslim Brotherhood, and of its front organizations.

We are now sharing our political process with front groups for a known terrorist organization, and our President is indeed not lifting a finger to stop it.
