The first duty of any chief executive, whether it be a mayor, a governor or the president of the United States, is to insure the safety of its citizen, that’s the oath they’ve all sworn to uphold to “protect and defend,” and that’s the oath that Texas Governor Greg Abbott is simply honoring and that President Obama has willfully ignored for almost 8-long years, as once again illustrated by the latest terrorist attacks in New York, New Jersey and in Minnesota.

And while America comes to grip with the latest attack on the homeland, Republican Governor Abbott on Wednesday announced that he is withdrawing from the refugee resettlement program, because the Obama Administration cannot ensure that their may not be terrorists hiding within these groups, in short what just took place in New York, New Jersey and in Minnesota, may very well happen in Texas.

In a letter sent to the Office of Refugee Resettlement, the governor announced his plan to withdraw from the program on Jan. 31, 2017.

Obviously in today’s insane world, the threat of terrorism can happen anywhere, regardless of any immigration program, that’s the unsettling reality. However knowing the overall threat that exists, why would any chief executive further the odds of being attacked by allowing more potential threats to enter his state?

The issue of course is security which as expected the Obama Administration refused to guarantee, in that Texas wanted to institute its own security measures before allowing refugees into their state.

These “slight-of-hand” maneuvers by this administration when dealing with vetting “undocumented aliens” is at the heart of the issue, in that for the Obama Administration it’s all about politics rather than protecting America’s national security.

Moreover the good governor of Texas, has made it abundantly clear that until proper security measures are met, Texas is out, stating:

“The federal government’s refugee settlement program is riddled with serious problems that pose a threat to our nation,” the governor said in a statement. “The director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the director of national intelligence have repeatedly declared their inability to fully screen refugees from terrorist-based nations. Even with the inability to properly vet refugees from Syria and countries known to be supporters or propagators of terrorism, President Obama is now ineptly proposing a dramatic increase in the number of refugees to be resettled in the U.S.”

Do you agree with Texas' stand on refusing to allow Obama's Muslim migrants to be allowed in their state? If so please share this on Facebook and tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
