A quick-drawing grandmother shot and killed a home intruder and sent his male accomplice running for the Texas bluegrass hills in what police are calling a burglary gone wrong.

Police in Katy, Texas said the woman, 60, was home alone when she heard what sounded like someone breaking into her garage and went to investigate.

The woman then found herself standing face-to-face with two black males in saggy pants. Both were armed with pistols, police said.

"She confronted both suspects, retrieved a handgun, and fired several times at both suspects," hitting one of them, Deputy Thomas Gilliland told ABC13.

"From what we understand, it's a rental home but there are several people who live in the home. But this morning she was by herself in the house," he told another news source.

The wounded suspect collapsed in the woman's yard and died. The other suspect jumped over a fence and got away and is still at large, police said.

Chalk one up for the good guys -- and gals.

The incident happened on July 31 and has gone viral. Let it be a pre-crime lesson to all punks and gangstas that when they're messing with armed Texans, they're messing with their own lives.

"It's just, you now what, in the state of Texas, if you're gonna get on somebody's property, you're gonna get shot. That's just the way we are, that's Texas," Catherine Hanks, the woman's neighbor, told ABC13.

These two baggy-pants wearing homies weren't on the woman's property kindly asking for directions or a glass of water. They meant to rob her and maybe leave her dead -- execution-style.

Thanks to Dr. Smith & Wesson, this gutsy grandmother survived.
