Fictional television broadcaster Howard Beale could easily have been talking about the liberal transgender agenda in the movie "Network" (1976).

A prophet of his time, Beale recognized the dehumanizing force of the mass media and the insidious power that television wields over people's lives:

"We're all you know. You're beginning to believe the illusions we're spinning here. You're beginning to think that the tube is reality and that your own lives are unreal. You do whatever the tube tells you. You dress like the tube, you eat like the tube, you raise your children like the tube. You even think like the tube. This is mass madness. You maniacs. In God's name, you people are the real thing. We are the illusion."

Try telling this to all the sexually mixed up youths in Australia who are trying to be transgender because it's "cool" and trendy.

Australian gender expert and psychiatrist Stephen Stathis says transgenderism is an over-diagnosed condition and that many transgender youths aren't suffering from gender dysphoria (gender confusion).

Stathis said these youths are trying to be transgender because it's popular and gets them the attention they crave from their peers.

One of Stathis's young patients even described transgenderism as "the new black."

Like a tube of toothpaste or a brand name beer the media promote transgenderism until it is firmly rooted in the public consciousness. Always, the media attach a reward to their products -- like social approval and group acceptance. Then, they peddle their products to a gullible and uncritical audience.

Frighteningly, millions of consumers of media react to these messages in a way that has been thoroughly anticipated and calculated by their creators.

Were it not for the legitimizing power of the media transgenderism and other destructive ideas would have no way of getting into the heads of so many young people. It's so much worse when schools, doctors, academics and lawmakers become the standard bearers of transgenderism.

"Right now, there is a whole, an entire generation that never knew anything that didn't come out of this [television] tube!" Howard Beale warned. "This tube is the Gospel, the ultimate revelation. This tube can make or break presidents, popes, prime ministers... This tube is the most awesome God-damned force in the whole godless world, and woe is us if it ever falls in to the hands of the wrong people."

It has, and we are seeing the results.

Please share this on Facebook if transgenderism is an over-diagnosed condition.
