What kind of mother does this?

It is the question that every rational, thinking and feeling human being could be expected to ask when viewing a chilling video of a mother kissing her daughter goodbye as the little girl is sent off to serve as a suicide bomber in the cause of the Muslim “holy” war.

But for the Muslim faithful, the answer is found repeatedly in the “holy” text that they follow, The Quran, and as horrific and insane as it sounds, it makes perfect sense to them.

“Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not." (Quran 2:216)

The sickening video reveals a male, who may or may not be the father of two girls seen, calmly, but earnestly, telling them what is expected of them, repeating the word “Allah,” as they obediently listen without emotion.

The girls, who look to be around seven- and nine-years-old stand as a figure, thought to be their mother, clad from head to toe in black, completely covered in a burqa, hugs and kisses the girls as the male continues to talk, invoking the name of Allah.

As the children turn toward the man, the oldest one looks unflinchingly at the camera, as the woman kneels behind them, speaks briefly, and caresses her daughters.

The girls are bundled up for winter weather, but the awkward way they hold themselves and move belies that they are strapped with explosive devices under their coats.

At no point do they reach up to their mother to hug her or interact with her at all, and with a final exhortation to them, the children leave the shabby apartment.

Authorities say that the seven-year-old walked into a police station in Damascus and was killed when a bomb was detonated by a remote controlled device.

Three officers were injured.

The video ended with footage shot of the girls clad in little burqas with the same man holding them as he exhorts about Allah and, no doubt, their duty to their faith.
