Presidential Candidate and former Senator, Rick Santorum (R-PA), deserves to be on the main stage of the debate events.

The media has portrayed him as an evangelical religious zealot, and while a dedicated conservative Christian, he is far from hard-core fanatic.

During the Tuesday night pre-debate, Rick Santorum weighed in on potential Islamic Jihadist immigration via the pending refugee resettlement. In doing so, he was also able to provide a response to Donald Trump’s call to lock-down immigration from countries of terrorist origin.

The moderator, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, posed the following question to Senator Santorum; “Do you believe in religious liberty for Muslims as well as Christians?”

The Senator responded in the affirmative, and made a point of clarifying his position with respect to the controversial comments made by Donald Trump.

He said, “The fact of the matter is not all Muslims are Jihadists and no one, including I suspect, Donald Trump, would say that. But the reality is all Jihadists are Muslims.”

He went on to add, “That’s a reality, and we have to stop worrying about offending some people and start defending all Americans. Because we’re not, right now.”

How right he is. The American people deserve to hear more from this man, but the only way that will happen is if more people listen to him, and quit listening to the talking heads that are, once again, selecting your candidates.
