REPORT: AG Lynch Denied FBI Probe Into Clinton Foundation
Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton is under fire from all directions these days. But her status as a potential president of the United States hasn't been questioned at all by the Justice Department or by voters. That inattention might change, however, with the news that the United States Attorney General turned a blind eye to Clinton's involvement with the dubious Clinton Foundation.
CNN has reported that Attorney General Loretta Lynch denied an FBI probe access into the Clinton Foundation records. Lynch reportedly stated that the FBI didn't have sufficient evidence to open an investigation into the non-profit.
But that denial came nearly a year after Lynch considered opening her own probe into the foundation, suggesting that there are now multiple motivations to see what's really going on in the Clintons billion-dollar charity. The investigation that was requested by the FBI was a public integrity investigation, something that the Clinton Foundation needs done to it desperately.
Lynch, however, denied the necessity and basis for an investigation. Her denial comes after news was released that she met privately and secretly with former president Bill Clinton just a few months ago, prior to the conclusion of the FBI's investigation into Hillary Clinton's email server.
Is it possible that she brokered a deal with the Clintons in order to remain in power as Attorney General? Yes, though Lynch has denied that her conversation touched on the investigation in any way.
It's clear, however, that the Clinton Foundation has taken the business of meddling in politics and business to a new level. More news has come out that a Clinton Foundation donor who poured billions into the charity asked for private favors from the State Department. If that's not enough for an integrity investigation I don't know what is.
It's time for the Clinton Foundation to face the music. The Clintons need to be held accountable for their crooked scheming.
