United States politicians, led primarily by members of the Obama administration, have pledged to increase the number of Middle Eastern refugees that America will accept, a move that is being praised by some as humanitarian, but which will undoubtedly open the U.S. to more terrorist attacks.

Though the United States currently accepts thousands of refugees from around the world, activists have been spreading protests and petitions to increase the number of Middle Eastern refugees due to the current migration crisis occurring in Europe. European countries, many of which are seeing migration numbers increase by tens of thousands, are struggling to make sense of the situation and to implement safety measures.

The United States, however, doesn't seem to be paying attention to Europe's migration problems.

Though the White House has said that the U.S. will accept at least 10,000 more refugees from the Middle East, it's clear from comments made by John Kerry that the number will actually be much higher. Kerry said that the actual number of migrants will likely be closer to 100,000. Current plans give room for 70,000 migrants to make their way to the U.S.

However, what the White House isn't taking into account is the clear opportunity which mass migration policies like this give to terrorists. Europe is already seeing the negative effects of opening its doors and authorities are seeking Muslim terrorists who have slipped through Turkey and are now making their way toward England with death and murder on their minds.

Can anyone honestly believe that terrorists won't try the same tactic on the United States, the country that ISIS, Iran, and dozens of other terror cells describe as their prime enemy?

Certainly the United States carries a responsibility to help others who are seeking refuge from turmoil and death. The problems occur, however, when the United States tries to adopt an open-border-like policy which will certainly give terrorists more opportunities to come to America and disrupt honest citizens' lives.

Let's hope America sees the truth and implements strict, watchful procedures before we open our borders to refugees.
