PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH! In 2007 Schumer Demanded Blocking ALL Bush Supreme Court Nominations
For those that live in the northeast especially within the New York City area, Senator Charles Schumer, better known as “Chucky Schumer” became somewhat of a fixture on those Friday night newscasts, in that “Chucky” always found an issue that would guarantee him “airtime” on the local and at times national news.
Remarkably the issue that “Chucky Schumer” was passionate about never extended past those Friday night telecasts, until another issue caught his eye the following Friday.
It’s within that context that best describes the Senior New York Senator’s political style, in that he simply latches on to an issue for the short-term, to gain whatever temporary political mileage he can.
When the good senator called for the blocking of all Presidents Bush's nominations in 2007, he was simply doing what he has always done, being disingenuous!
The irony of course is that “Chucky” is now doing what Democrats do so well, being hypocrites and going on Sunday morning shows like ABC’s “This Week,” and singing a different song, by decrying Senate Republicans attempting to block Obama’s announcement and desire to appointment a successor to the late Justice Antonin Scalia.
When George W. Bush was still president, Schumer advocated almost the exact same approach McConnell is planning to pursue.
During a speech at a convention, Schumer said if any new Supreme Court vacancies opened up, Democrats should not allow Bush the chance to fill it…except in extraordinary circumstances.”
Do you think Schumer is a typical Democrat hypocrite who will do and say anything to get what they want that given day?
