Oregon Folk Singer Is Going to Syria To Sing Songs About Peace To ISIS
There will always be those humanitarians or those that seek the truth who will risk their lives and go willingly in harm's way. Some carry a scalpel, others a cross and still others a camera and a microphone to chronicle the carnage taking place in far off lands.
And then there are those good and naive souls like Oregon folk singer James Twyman who is heading to Syria to sing perhaps 60’s style “peace songs” to 7th century barbarians who communicate through mass murder, rape and mayhem.
Twyman will sing a variety of peace songs including “Be the Change” to ISIS murders, whose followers have laterally “changed” the landscape of many European Capitals, including the United States, by terrorist attacks, sexual assaults, and criminality of all sorts.
Twyman, told FoxNews.com he feels a “calling” and believes he can soften the hearts of the Islamist army known for beheading Westerners, throwing gays off buildings and summarily executing innocent women and children.
“It’s going to be pretty powerful,” Twyman said, referring to his plan to have those attending and others around the world sing and pray for peace at the same time. “When people come together and focus on something in a positive way … there’s scientific evidence that it can change things for the better.”
We should all respect Twyman’s views and wish him well, in that he’s sincere and actually believes that strumming on his guitar will soften the hearts of the barbarians. Remember "Music has charms to soothe a savage breast"
Here is one of James Twyman 'hits' that he will be peacefully singing to a attentive ISIS audience:
