Unrest is really starting to simmer. In fact, it looks like it may be just under the boiling point for some. Take the Oath Keepers, a self-organized militia, for example. They are planning to take civil action against those members of Congress and President Obama for the Iran nuclear deal.

The Oath Keepers are organized in part by former US Marine, Jon Ritzheimer of Arizona, one of the organizers of the completely legal, and supported by the First Amendment, “Draw Muhammad” contest, in Phoenix, that resulted in a couple of Jihadi terrorists opening fire on the crowd back in May of this year.

Ritzheimer says their plan of action will be one of peaceful arrest of congressional members for treason.

First up is Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI).

"We are planning on arresting Senator Debbie Stabenow, who voted yes to the Iran Nuke Deal. She will be arrested for treason under Article 3 Section 3 of the Constitution,” and went on to say, “We have chosen her as our first target due to our strong ties with the Michigan State Militia and their lax gun laws that will allow us to operate in a manner necessary for an operation like this.”

They have no plans to stop with her. Stabenow is just the first, and all those that voted to arm our enemy will be arrested, including President Obama. Stabenow and her staff are aware of the Oath Keeper’s intentions and are working with US Capitol Police and Michigan Law Enforcement. You can watch Ritzheimer discuss Oath Keepers’ intentions at the video link.

This is what happens when you push the American people to the brink of fear, anger, and exhaustion with governmental overreach into our personal lives while disregarding and jeopardizing our safety.

While you may not agree with Ritzheimer’s approach it is important to remember that our Constitution gives us the right, and mandates that we have an obligation, to control our government. The Constitution’s purpose was to limit the role of the government and empower the people and was built around the Declaration of Independence. Go read them.

If you will recall, there is a famous quote;

“When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.”

Our government certainly does not fear us…so where exactly does that leave us?
