“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me,” Philippians 4:10.

The above quote is from the New Testament, and if you’re a practicing Christian you have no doubt from time to time, quoted from scripture within those moments of overcoming one of life’s many issues.

However if you’re Rima Fakih the 2010 Miss USA winner from Michigan quoting from Christian Scripture isn’t something easily done especially if you’re a Muslim, and yet that’s exactly what this beautiful young lady uttered and then again posted on social media, and no doubt making many within the Muslim community furious.

Rima Fakih is believed to be the first Muslim to win the title of Miss USA when she was crowned the winner in 2010. Now, the beauty pageant winner has converted to Christianity.

At the time of winning the Miss USA title, Fakih said, "I'd like to say I'm American first, and I am an Arab-American, I am Lebanese-American, and I am Muslim-American."

She added: "My brother-in-law is Christian, and he (and my sister) baptized their two sons. I have an uncle who converted to Christianity, and he's a priest now."

She said: "We'd go to church on Easter. We always had a Christmas tree and every year we go the Radio City Christmas Show, and watch Miracle on 34th Street. But we celebrate some of the Islamic holidays as well."

She is now in the process of preparing for her marriage to her wealthy fiancé, who works as a music producer.
