With police shootings on the rise, people everywhere in America are looking for answers. Why are police being targeted by so many more gunmen? What is motivating these attacks? Unfortunately, a recent shooting in Pennsylvania may have uncovered some answers and it doesn't look good.

Following the arrest of two teenagers, 17-year-old Marquell Rentas and 18-year-old Trenton Nace, relatives of the two say that they were spurred on by Black Lives Matter to open fire on police officers.

The two teenagers shot at police and were quickly apprehended. But Ms. Rentas told reporters that she believes that Black Lives Matter, or BLM as it is known, was responsible for the shootings.

"They are in jail for doing what Black Lives Matter wanted them to do: shoot at cops," said Ms. Rentas. She also said that the two teenagers were cousins, and that they were simply "following the orders of an irresponsible organization."

Though BLM organizers in the area have vociferously denied any connection to the shootings, as have BLM organizers around the country, the fact remains that this group is organizing protests of police. And it is those protests which fuels the fire and the desire to attack police officers.

In Pennsylvania, Lancaster County's District Attorney said that he believes the rhetoric of BLM is what is causing an uptick in police shootings and killings.

"There’s a lot of rhetoric demonizing police. It creates greater a chance to have individuals emboldened to take violent actions out on police," said the DA.

This is simply another result of the disintegration of the rule of law in our country. If the police aren't given the respect they need to do their job, soon they won't be responding to any more emergency calls because they know that they could be under fire at any time.

We need to support our police!
