Since the issue of gender neutral bathrooms has gained in popularity recently, Joey Salads, a famous YouTuber, decided to do a social experiment with the gender neutral bathroom concept.

North Carolina and several other states have started debating what has become dubbed “bathroom bills” which makes someone use the restroom of the gender they were born with. That means transgender people cannot use whatever bathroom they identify with.

Joey Salads, the famous YouTuber, has not been known for his sensitivity, but rather his daring attitude. His social experiment tested how women and possibly little girls would react if they saw a transgender person (male dressed as a female) enters the women’s bathroom.

From the video we can see that a large majority of the women were not comfortable with the idea of a man dressed as a women going to the same bathroom as them.

According to recent data from the Williams Institute at UCLA’s School of Law, there are only 700,000 people who identify as transgender in the United States. That’s less than one percent of the population of the United States.

However, we saw that most of the women were greatly uncomfortable with a transgender person using their restroom, so why are people trying to force it? There are 308 million women in the United States (according to data from 2010).

This means that if only 70% of women are uncomfortable in that situation, there are still 215 million women who are uncomfortable in that situation. So for 700,000 people to be happy, 215 million women have to be uncomfortable.

Do you think bathrooms should be gender neutral?
