Seemingly overnight our National Anthem as suddenly become our “national debate”, with million dollar athletes taking sides, on whether to sit or stand at the playing of our anthem. The irony of course is that those million dollar athletes are actually living out the “American dream,” or accessing opportunities that this magnificent nation affords them.

And one of those million dollar celebrity athletes Lebron James when asked recently to give his opinion about the Kaepernick dust-up, James didn’t hesitate or attempt to give a lawyerly answer.

“Me, standing for the national anthem is something I will do. That’s who I am. That’s what I believe in. But that doesn’t mean I don’t respect and don’t agree with what Colin Kaepernick is doing.”

As if that answer wasn’t enough to send the loony left and the race baiters into overdrive, James continued; “I’m not up here saying that all the police are bad, because they’re not. I’m not up here saying all kids are great and all adults are great, because they’re not. But at the same time, all lives do matter. It’s not just about black or white, it’s everyone.”

No doubt James is a critical thinking individual, who gets it, and appreciates what America stands for, and while Colin Kaepernick has become the “poster-child of malcontent” and ironically living out is own “American Dream,” likewise there are millions upon millions of young people, black, white and brown accessing their own personal “American Dream” everyday, thanks in part to the opportunities afforded them within this great nation.

The liberal hate was swift and brutal against James:

It's amazing Lebron can do so much tangible good for the community and be treated like this. In case the liberals forgot Lebron puts his money where his mouth is:

What do you think about Lebron James words on standing for the anthem?

Sound off in the comments below and let us know if you support James stance or do you feel he hasn't gone far enough in condemning other athletes who disrespect the anthem?
