American schoolchildren are not taught to sing songs about the Founding Fathers – there are no anthems about Benjamin Franklin or Presidents George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.

No one sings about Abraham Lincoln who was instrumental in ending slavery or about Franklin Roosevelt who led the nation through World War II.

And even though a single school district in Washington D.C. tried to celebrate the election of President Obama by floating a song with inane lyrics like, “He said we must be fair today, equal work means equal pay” and “He said red, yellow, black or white are all equal in his sight,” it didn’t really catch on.

In America, there are no paeans to the individual.

We sing in praise of purple mountains’ majesty, the land of the free and the home of the brave.

And what we have never done is to teach our children how to sing in disrespect of their president – until now.

With the hatred of a sitting president reaching unprecedented levels, the über liberal Washington Post has formed a chorus of children to sing not of their country’s greatness, but to mock President Trump.

The paper has put up a video on youtube featuring 12 children billed as “The Washington Post Kids Chorus” singing the president’s tweets.

The video, “The Washington Post’s Kids Chorus Singing President Trump’s Tweets,” was published on June 29 and mentioned in the June 30 edition of the paper – just days before the Fourth of July celebration of the signing of The Declaration of Independence.

Based on the comments posted, viewers were not only unimpressed, but angry.

“How about we leave 5-year-olds out of politics?”

“This is just beyond wrong and twisted.”

“This is like North Korean propaganda. Washington Post was once great, but no more.”

Instead of forming the children’s chorus to teach them about the nation’s founding and extraordinary history, The Washington Post used the opportunity to brainwash them to disrespect and mock their president.

And as a further measure of brainwashing, the children are led in a rousing chorus of the newspapers new motto, “Democracy Dies in Darkness.”

So much for America the Beautiful – today it’s all about the leftist ideology of the Washington elite.

Do you agree that schoolchildren should not be used to promote the anti-Trump agenda by liberal newspapers like The Washington Post?

Tell us in the comments below if you think it is time for the Washington establishment to get behind President Trump and give him a chance.
