Kid Rock is “no joke” he’s actually considering a run for the U.S. Senate. The legendary rocker and self-described “Libertarian” stopped short of a formal announcement, however that didn’t stop the media from doing what they do best, “shoot from the lip” with speculation and conjecture without any factual evidence, suggesting it’s all a publicity stunt, ironically the same media that predicted President Trump would never seriously run for the presidency.

Moreover while not yet fully committed Rock appeared to move closer to tossing his iconic hat into the ring, tweeting within his post to "try a different thing" suggesting perhaps putting together a pro-America platform in his bid to run for the Senate.

Interestingly enough the push back to Rock’s announcement seems to be coming from the rabid left and of course from the mainstream media.

Democrat and potential presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren warned her colleges not to make light of Rock’s announcement saying; “I know a lot of people are thinking: this is some sort of joke, right?”

She continued: “Maybe this is all a joke, but we all thought Donald Trump was joking when he rode down the escalator at Trump Tower and announced his campaign, too.”

Moreover, after his initial announcement the legendary rocker took to social media blasting critics who “speculated” his run against perhaps Democrat Sen. Debbie Stabenow is nothing more than a publicity stunt.

However if that is indeed the case his most recent post on social media, certainly doesn’t suggest it’s all one big joke: "I believe if you work your butt off and pay taxes, you should be able to easily understand and navigate the laws, tax codes, health care and anything else the government puts in place that affects us all," he wrote above a link to his website.

The singer - whose real name is Robert Ritchie - is considered a fiscally conservative but socially liberal man.

Ironically it’s the same populist ingredient that propelled President Trump to the White House.
Saying once again his interest in a Senate bid "it's not a hoax."

Adding; "Once again the press is wrong. Senator Stabenow and I do share a love of music, although probably not the same kind. I concede she is better at playing politics than I am, so I'll keep doing what I do best, which is being a voice for tax-paying hard-working Americans.”

"We the people are sick and tired of their bull****," he wrote.
