While American lawmakers are drafting legislation across the country reaffirming our principles and strengthening America’s judicial system against Sharia Law, the Obama Administration seems to have quietly given the green light to allow the concept of “Sharia” into the military, not by Executive Order, but rather with a wink and a smile.

In that no other religion except for Islam expects non-Muslims to submit to their religious customs. And the fact that our military make a distinction between Islam and all other religions simply reaffirms how much influence and respect America has lost in the Middle East.

No other religion would demand and or expect our military follow religious customs, certainly countries such as Israel don’t expect non-Jews within our military to fast on Yom Kipper, nor should they, or canon law to non-Catholics. But the sharia asserts its authority over non-Muslims.

During the 30-day religious celebration of Ramadan, even non-Muslims are expected to obey local laws regarding eating, drinking, and using tobacco in public. And the penalties for such a transgression can be fined up to $685 or receive two months in jail. A spokesperson for United States Central Command [CENTCOM] said that “we are not aware of any specific instances of anyone being arrested” for such violations.

What is even more astounding seems to be our attitude to such an intrusion to our military men and woman, who perhaps have an issue to comply due to their own individual religious beliefs. However that didn’t stop a top military commander stating; that the U.S. is “committed to the concepts of tolerance, freedom and diversity.” But he added that soldiers should “become more informed and appreciative of the traditions and history of the people in this region of the world.

Excuse me, I believe tolerance is a “two way street”!

The irony of course is that while the U.S. Military capitulates to Islamic Doctrines within the Middle East, here at home (America), Muslims in America by an overwhelming majority believe that Sharia Law is the only law to follow regardless of where they live. And it will be interesting to see how Friday’s Supreme Court Ruling, and Islamic Sharia Law  plays out, in America.
