It’s Not A Gun Problem Thats Plaguing America, It’s a Disdain For Human Life
Human life is precious. Whether in the womb or in one’s last days, regardless of age in either case. However, as society treads further along the path of depravity, human life becomes trivial, and of no value.
When life becomes of no meaning, power becomes everything and playing judge, jury, and executioner becomes the norm. In other words, the more depraved we get, the more like God we think we are.
In an October 1st article by Craig Bannister, he makes an argument along these lines, but in more pointed fashion, particularly when it comes to the war-on-guns and the war-on-children happening in our country at present;
“People who genuinely believe in the sanctity of human life won’t take another life-by gun or anther other means-unless it is absolutely necessary.”
“In a society that condones, funds, and promotes abortion and excuses euthanasia, human life is cheap.”
“Then, there’s the pervasive, gratuitous violence of today’s entertainment and video games desensitizing America’s children (And adults) to the wanton, wholesale destruction of human life.”
What kind of people are we becoming? A people with no moral compass whose own life, let alone another, including our children, has no value, no purpose, and no reason to exist should we deign it as such.
How many of you think gun-control might be the answer? Are you ambivalent about abortion? How about assisted suicide? How many of you pay attention to the video games your children play or the movies they watch?
If you think guns are the issue, are “meh” on abortion, euthanasia and violent video games, then you are part of the problem.
Your lack of respect for human life as sacrosanct is carting us in a hand-basket straight to hell, political affiliation aside.
