The morning after three acts of terror shattered the calm of an autumn day, concerns about terror attacks are occupying Americans with only 50 days left until voters elect a new president to deal with the threat of Islamic violence and jihad.

In New Jersey, a charity race to benefit Marines was targeted with explosive devices, a neighborhood in Manhattan saw 29 injured by a bomb, and in St. Cloud, Minnesota, a Somali Muslim attacked eight people with a machete in a shopping mall, as he shouted, “Allah,” and demanded to know if his victims were Muslim.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the stabbing attack on Sunday morning.

“The executor of the stabbing attacks in Minnesota yesterday was a soldier of the Islamic State and carried out the operation in response to calls to target the citizens of countries belonging to the crusader coalition.”

No group has come forward to accept responsibility for the New York and New Jersey bombings, although a hand-written letter partially in Arabic was reportedly found near the bomb blast in New York duct taped to a second device, a pressure cooker, which failed to detonate.

Police in St. Cloud refused to identify the machete-wielding assailant, in keeping with the practice of protecting Muslims from bad publicity, but the perpetrator was identified by his father as Dahir A. Adan, aged 22, adding that his son had lived in the U.S. for 15 years, and given no indication that he was involved in any kind of terrorist activity.

Adan reportedly attended St. Cloud State University as an “intended” IT major, but was not currently enrolled.

The attack in the busy shopping mall was ended when   was shot and killed by an off-duty police officer, Jason Falconer.

Minnesota cities have seen more than 5,000 Somali immigrants resettled there in the past six years, and recently, Gov. Dayton told critics to “move to another state” if they didn’t go along with the federal refugee resettlement program.

Meanwhile, some locals are complaining about the reporting on the event with one telling Breitbart News, “This morning a TV reporter on WCCO in Minneapolis interviewed an eyewitness who got close enough to identify the perpetrator without question. However, the description was edited down to a tall, thin male with a goatee!”
