Reports from Britain continue to emerge about brutalities perpetrated against Christian and Yazidi women and children by the fanatical Muslim group, ISIS, as it sweeps across Syria and Iraq.

The Yazidi are a Kurdish ethnic group with a distinct religion and culture who have become targets of ISIS as it seeks to “cleanse” the region of religious diversity.

The Assistant Secretary-General of the humanitarian organization, The Red Crescent, revealed on Monday that members of ISIS seized more than 100 families at the Tal Afar airport in northwestern Iraq murdering the men and selling the women as slaves.

The news comes on the heels of stories of unimaginable barbarism revealed by a group of elderly and ill captives who were released following their abduction.

Vian Dakhil, a member of the Yazidis told of one mother who was detained by ISIS and held without food for days. When she begged for food, she was given a plate of rice and meat only to be told later that she had eaten the meat of her three-year-old son.

Dakhil related another case of unspeakable evil in which a mother was forced to watch while ISIS militants repeatedly raped her 9-year-old daughter. The child died as the mother watched.

“This is what happened with those women under ISIS control and nobody cares,” said Dakhil, who brought international attention to the plight of thousands of Yazidis trapped on an Iraq mountaintop after attempting to flee ISIS in August 2014.

Dahkil said the Yazidis “now feel abandoned by America,” blaming the Obama administration for failing to address the atrocities committed by the Muslim group against women and children, adding that a letter to First Lady Michelle Obama has not received a reply.

Estimates indicate ISIS has kidnapped over 2,000 Yazidi girls and women for sale as sex slaves. Hundreds of thousands more are refugees, including orphans whose fathers have been murdered and mothers kidnapped.

The BBC has reported that Yazidi girls have been driven to suicide as a result of the torture and abuse.
